I've been a professional singer, musician and songwriter for 35 years, working internationally in genres as diverse as rock, musical theatre, jazz, pop and Latin. I've recorded five albums on various labels, and continue to release singles on my own record label, Salerosa Records.
MY FORMAL MUSIC STUDIES INCLUDE:
- Royal Conservatory of Music in Victoria, Canada (classical piano and voice)
- Berklee College of Music, Boston USA (jazz piano, voice, songwriting)
- Langara Studio 58, Vancouver, Canada (theatre)
- Douglas College, New Westminster, Canada (piano and voice)
- Alexander Technique
To keep up with changes in the music industry, I’ve attended conferences including WOMEX (Santiago de Compostela), MIDEM (Cannes), BILLBOARD LATIN MUSIC CONFERENCE (Miami), MUSIC SYNC CONFERENCE (Barcelona) y MONDO NYC MUSIC AND TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE (New York). That being said, a lot of what I've learned comes from 35 years of touring.

I tailor classes according to the needs, interests, goals, and level of each student. I draw on my training in both classical and jazz/ popular music, while offering skills learned throughout my career as a professional singer and musician. My objective is to guide and support each student in the exploration and development of their talent.
"Thrilled with her classes in jazz (piano and harmony) - she's the first teacher I've had who's been able to explain how things work and where I need to go with it. Many thanks" - Javier Tapia, pianist (Málaga, Spain)
"Throughout my life I thought singing was a divine gift only a few had. Until I started taking classes with Nancy. She knows all you need to know to learn to sing, and she really knows how to teach."
- Julen Fernández, singer, flamenco guitarist (Malaga, Spain)
"The masterclass was brilliant - valuable information. Without a doubt I'll look for more opportunities to learn from her" -Lydia Tune, pianist (Croatia)
"I saw results right away thanks to the clarity of her instruction - she's a fantastic teacher (vocal coaching in a recording session)." - Monica Solaun, singer (Bilbao, España)
"Nancy is very kind. It was a great pleasure, and I'm grateful for the masterclass! Hope to do it again, thank you!" -Fredy Lane, bassist (Barcelona, Spain)
"She's an example of a great professional, as well as being warm and kind. She made me feel comfortable and I still draw on what she taught me. Without a doubt I recommend her as a teacher."
-Fernando Molino Serrano, singer-songwriter and guitarist (Rincón de la Victoria, España)
"In addition to being one of the finest singers that I have worked with, she is a gifted multi–instrumentalist. In this business, the terms prima donna and diva are synonymous with female singers and tenors - I have worked with many, including the most world famous of them that I won’t mention, but working with Nancy is like a breath of fresh air." -Joe Gianono, composer/ arranger (New York, USA)
Classes are taught online via Zoom.
